Until recently, the biogas has been used as the source of renewable energy mostly to produce electrical and thermal energy in cogeneration plants and microturbines. The majority of electrical energy that is produced by this equipment is sold to the electrical network and some part of electrical and thermal energy is consumed in the biogas plants. The remainder of the thermal energy is discharged into the environment if there is no possibility to utilize it for other purposes. This energy production method is not cost-effective but very popular with the current feed-in tariff.
Our technology allows the production of electrical and thermal energy only for the own use, i. e. in the biogas production and purification equipment. This energy production method is cost-effective and ensures that only renewable energy sources are used for the biomethane production.
